As part of this years Imaginaria Digital Art Commissions to be exhibited at the ICA in October 1999, the artists Scanner+Tonne (Robin Rimbaud+Paul Farrington) will develop and produce Sound Polaroids: Remapping the Hidden Sounds of a City.
Collaborating for the first time Scanner+Tonne will produce an interactive sound installation that examines the textures and beauties of sound and image in the city of London.
To develop an understanding of peoples visualisation of how sound is perceived in the city we invite you to participate in the first stage of the project.
What is a Point of Sound Significance in London for you? For example – Big Ben, Victoria Station, Trafalgar Square, favourite record shop.
SO – please email your response to this address and feel free to pass it along to others who may be interested. the more responses the better. the web site will be constantly updated with location, responses, etc.
