Strom Twenty Two.
Hello
My first entry in 2001 and London is met with ever changeable skies – sunshine in the morning, cloud by midday, rain by afternoon and probably a monsoon by teatime!
My new years resolution to remain home a little more has already failed, having already stamped my passport in several continents in the last weeks and continues in the forseeable future so our paths may cross soon. Less time playing live shows and more time based work to follow this year, with works in Sweden, Rome and Valencia to follow shortly which I shall keep you tuned to.
For any microscopic sound listeners the double CD "New Forms: Contemporary Music in the Context of Art" in a fetishistic semi transparent package has finally been released from series of shows curated by Carsten Nicolai back in 1999. Featuring works from Thomas Brinkmann, Richie Hawtin, Komet, Kim Cascone, Ikeda, Pan Sonic, Signal, Francisco Lopez and many others it is certainly worth searching out.
My amusingly titled ‘Scannerfunk’ CD has just come out in Europe to be followed by a March release in the USA. Entitled ‘Wave of Light by Wave of Light‘ it’s a record you can both drive and relax to. I also recently remixed a beautiful work by french artist ‘Ultra Milkmaids’ which has been released on a limited edition 10" on Ant Zen Records from Germany. It is in a special package with 7 page book.

It is worth remaining tuned to my website as I am beginning to upload countless MP3s for free download of early Scanner material, rare remixes and many unreleased collaborations, radio pieces and live shows. These will change frequently so please bookmark it for any updates. Designed by the amazing Friendchip.com people there are a number of sound toys to play with on line.The show in Amsterdam next week will also be broadcast live and archived so you can enjoy it from the comfort of your cushioned lounge chair.
I will be out on an American tour across the summer so hope to catch up with lots of people there but for now as always thanks for the support. As ever if you don’t wish to receive these very infrequent bulletins simply let me know.
